Each Flat Cloud panel is manufactured from 50% recycled PET felt, a high-performance, sustainable fibrous raw material produced from recycled post-consumer plastic waste. The manufacturing process reprocesses discarded plastic bottles into fine interlocked PET fibres, forming an open, porous three-dimensional matrix specially engineered for acoustic absorption. As sound waves pass through the panel’s surface, vibration friction between the countless tangled fibres dissipates acoustic energy and converts it into negligible thermal energy. This mechanism effectively traps ambient noise and drastically reduces reverberation time inside buildings. The product achieves outstanding NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) performance, with strong absorption focused on mid and high frequencies — the frequency bands associated with human conversation, office chatter, and background operational noise.
